Trent Boult


Trent Boult is a New Zealand cricketer who plays for the New Zealand national cricket team as well as the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was born on July 22, 1989, in Rotorua, New Zealand.

Boult is a left-arm fast bowler who is known for his ability to swing the ball both ways, generate pace, and take wickets with the new ball. He made his debut for the New Zealand cricket team in 2011 and has since then become one of the best fast bowlers in the world across all formats of the game.

Some of Trent Boult's notable achievements in international cricket include:

  • Taking 281 wickets in 77 Test matches at an average of 26.12
  • Taking 171 wickets in 95 One Day Internationals (ODIs) at an average of 24.38
  • Taking 63 wickets in 53 T20 Internationals (T20Is) at an average of 20.46
  • Taking a hat-trick in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup against Australia
